Mark-Making

I started experimenting with surface interventions done post-firing. For me it’s like sketching, but using a rotary tool instead of the pencil. If you see a surface scratch, I made it.

This is a line that follows many of my works – it’s the instinct to draw, write, carve, scratch or drag a line across a surface. It’s an instinct that connects my sketches and ceramics.
